Functional Assessments

Objective measure of client’s abilities and limitations as related to a specific job, general work readiness, or ability to complete home making or other ADL such as yard work, self-care, etc.

Functional Capacity Evaluation– 1-2 day assessment which may be beneficial to determine ability to return to work (or other functional activities), what physical demands or hours of work are appropriate and safe, identify pain magnification or validity of effort, or to determine rehabilitation requirements in more complicated or chronic cases.

Ergonomic Assessments– Can be completed for an individual, your team, or for planning of work spaces. We also offer group education and train the trainer education for office ergonomics.

Cognitive Functional Capacity Evaluation– 2 day assessment is  be beneficial to determine ability to return to work (or other functional activities), and incorporates  physical abilities, cognitive testing, and work behaviours in relation to work demands.   This testing will review impact of neurological injuries, or other conditions on memory, concentration, executive functioning, speed of processing, functional communication, fatigue, frustration tolerance, and ability to cope with external stimulus, etc.

Work Abilities Evaluation– 1-2 hour screen of work tolerances will provide maximum weight handling abilities and review of significant limitations in function. These can be used for pre-employment screening or review of specific tolerances to assist with return to work planning.

Functional Screen- 2-4 hour Functional assessment which may be beneficial in designing return to work programs, determining requirements for home making services, or providing rehabilitation recommendations.

Needs Assessment-home-based assessment to determine attendant care, home making services, modified equipment, or home modifications, etc.
